Forget the Razors Permanently!

If you’ve ever seen the movie Groundhog Day or read the Myth of Sisyphus, you know what it’s like to deal with unwanted hair. You shave, wax, pluck, tweeze, and apply harsh creams to get rid of hair only to have to repeat the process again in a couple weeks when the hair comes back.

And the places you’re doing this aren’t exactly razor or wax friendly — your underarms, legs, bikini line, under your nose.

Wouldn’t it be great to not have to do any of that any longer, to have that hair permanently removed?

Dr. Kronberg can do that for you with laser hair removal. Laser hair removal is year in and year out one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the United States.

How does laser hair removal work?

Dr. Kronberg uses the Gentlase® Laser for hair removal. Dr. Kronberg beams the highly concentrated laser light into the hair follicles in the target area. The pigment in the hair attracts the laser light, which is converted into heat energy as it travels down the hair shaft. Once it reaches the follicle, the heat damages the follicle, preventing future hair growth.

  • Precision: The laser is programmed to target only dark, coarse hair, leaving surrounding skin undamaged. It doesn’t work on light blond or gray hair.
  • Speed: Lasers only take a millisecond to fire their pulse of light. Plus, each pulse can target a number of hairs. This combination makes for fast treatment. Dr. Kronberg can treat an area the size of a quarter every second. While large areas such as the back can take up to one hour, small areas such as the upper lip can be treated in a minute or less.
  • Permanence: It usually takes four to six sessions to permanently remove hair because every hair can be in a different phase of the growth cycle. The anagen (growth) cycle responds best to laser treatment.

The most popular locations for laser hair removal are the face, legs, arms, underarms, back, and bikini line.
