Improve Your Skin in a Fraxel of the Time

Lasers and treating your skin. Who would have thought? After all, people in all of those sci-fi movies are using lasers to blast each other into another universe, not correct stuff like sun damage and pigmentation problems.

But Dr. Kronberg uses the Fraxel re:store DUAL Wavelength System to deliver remarkable results with minimal downtime.

Time and the environment aren’t kind to our skin. Sun exposure, air pollution, stress, fatigue, smoking, and other life and age-related issues can leave our skin dull, lifeless, and covered with age spots and other discoloration. At Dr. Kronberg’s, our Fraxel laser treatments repair and restore your skin.

How does it work?

The Fraxel re:store DUAL Wavelength System works on the idea of triggering the body to deliver a wound response. By making thousands of microscopic channels into your skin, down into the dermis layer, the Fraxel laser triggers the body to respond by producing new collagen and elastin and tightening the skin structure.

While the process sounds terrifying, it’s really not a big deal. This FDA-approved treatment involves nothing more than a slight prickling sensation to the patient as the handpiece is passed over the skin, delivering the laser energy onto and into the skin. A topical anesthetic is applied prior to the treatment to keep you comfortable.

What Fraxel treats

The FDA has approved the Fraxel re:store DUAL Laser System to treat these conditions:

  • Wrinkles around the eyes
  • Acne scars
  • Surgical scars
  • Age/sun spots (pigmented lesions)
  • Melasma (irregular patches of brown spots on the forehead, cheeks, upper lip lines, and nose)
  • Actinic keratoses (precancerous lesions)

After your session

Fraxel treatments have minimal side effects and healing is quite fast. You may experience very mild swelling and slight skin redness, but that passes in a day or two. The channels created by the laser actually heal within about 12 hours.
